Artist's Comments

For this first in tonight's series we have a double homage.

Since I had the 'ole katana out for the evening I decided to attempt to recreate a great pose from my bud Miss AnodyneHeroine. Even though it would technically be impossible to do anything constructive with a blade held in this way, it makes for a very fun pose. Check out the original here: [link] , and the rest of her very expressive stock here:

Homage Series 1 - Cobweb-stock
When I first landed here among you deviants there where several stock artists who really grabbed my attention and provided insight into what this sub-community is all about; one of them was . Not only an accomplished professional artist, he's a guy who really goes the extra mile to create great stock images.

So I got the idea awhile back to do some shots inspired by my favourite stock artists, and decided to start with . This particular series is an homage to a set he did that made me think a Tim Bradstreet illustration had extruded itself into my office. [link]

Be sure to go over and check out his stuff, it's well worth it.

Hey, you could always poke the enemy to death with a sharp blade...

*laughing I love seeing your work. One of these days, I'm going to definitly incorporate your poses into some kind of action drawing. I've never done anything like that so I look forward to it. Errr...have you done any Western/Cowboy themes yet?

Come on, you can do better than that. This is a freakin' tribute to you. Hit me with some sass about "where's my sports bra?" Or about how I'm not as cute as you are. Man!

Aaaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhh!!!!!!! (jumps of cliff).

Sorry. You may want to check out the scanty background info on the home page.

hahah impossible..yes..but looks oh so damned cool looking! Perhaps if you had the flexibility of a banana peel you could do something destructive with this stance, but who can resists the lines of it? The way the sword parallels the body*_* and the way the foot bends showing off the curve of the ankle!

Aheh...yes..I'll shut up now....>_>

Yes, perhaps that's for the best; but thank you. ;-)

Believe me, there's only one destructive thing you can do from here, and that's break your own wrist. :D
