Stock As Fine Art (seeking your feedback!)

Wed May 7, 2008, 12:55 PM
Howdy, Cats:

I could REALLY use your help with something. Some of you may recall that I made a similar request about a year ago, but it's time for a refresh.

The Request

I'd like for you to send me examples of what you consider to be extraordinary stock art. Of course, 'extraordinary' is a pretty subjective adjective so, specifically, I am looking for...

1) Stock - featuring a person - that can stand on its own as a work of art. Stock images that, even before they are ever manipulated, elicit an emotional response; joy, sadness, longing, hate, desire, frivolity, etc.

A good rule of thumb is a stock image that you would hang on your wall as 'art' in its own right. Currently, I am only interested in stock that features people (as opposed to objects or landscapes or anything else that isn't a person).

2) Stock that is very high quality in terms of resolution and lighting. (Don't get me wrong, I'm still talking about STOCK. I AM NOT interested in studio portraits.)

Please recommend as many any you like and feel free to recommend your own work. Please provide the Link (preferred) or Exact Title of the image(s) so that I can find them ;-).

Thanks again for all your help.

Jade

I truly believe your nude imagery expresses art and form very well. As the pinnacle of creation I believe the human form beautiful in every fashion.
