Hi, Cats! Here's the weekly digest of goings on about town and elsewhere...
Roulette 2.1: Chatting with Null-Entity
The little project that used to be called 'Take:10' is back with a new name: Roulette. Leading off this season's series of informal chats over big cups of joe (and Null-Entity digs a good-sized mug; you could wash a baby in his coffee cup) is my conversation with Kyle Ross (aka Null-Entity); a multi-talented artist exploring photo-reference photography of all types, animation, paper-craft, cosplay, book binding, and (I'm sure) quite a few other things that we didn't have the chance to talk about. Aside from being a great artist, he is an absolutely super guy.
This thumb takes you to the dA version, which is only the first 15 minutes of our chat (since dA has a limit on file size and length). Playful Knavery has the full chat (~45 mins), so just follow this playfulknavery.blogspot.com/20… to the site if you would like to hear the whole thing.
The Week in Knavery and Friday Night Groove
This week's groove took us back to the days when music videos were still played on MTV and also occasionally broke new technological ground. Check A-Ha's 'Take On Me'; a fun song and a must see if you have never seen the video. playfulknavery.blogspot.com/20…
Stock Usage Spotlight - ~ FreyaSheara
I've always loved these single-frame visual koans by FreyaSheara. Part pop art and part inscrutable puzzle; I always enjoy trying to work out just what they are all about. Here are a few examples, but be sure to visit her gallery for more of them, and to see some of her other artwork.
On The Horizon
- Now that I've ironed out some of the production challenges of Roulette, we can put the first round of Championship Stock Charades into the pipeline. Stay tuned.
More soon.

Possibly the most EPIC Stock Photoshoot EVER!
Hey there, Comrades! I know it's been a long time since I've posted here, but hopefully this news will make up for it. Check out this video, then check out our Kickstarter campaign to help fund what could possibly be the most EPIC Stock Photoshoot in the history of civilization (or at least in the past 427 years). If you look closely at the thumbnail (or not so closely at all the other material) you will see that we are talking about a conclave of...

Looking for a Few Experienced World Builders...
I'm reaching out to you fine folks, since you are such a diverse and talented mob. I am looking for a few experienced world builders who have a serious interest in the genre of modern-day spy thrillers and who also have a taste for the strange and mysterious. Right now this is an experimental/creative project, so there is no moolah (but potentially a great deal of fun).
If you are a creative writer or a gamemaster with a heavy concentration in fictional worldbuilding this could be an interesting project for you. We will be playing around with the tropes of spy thrillers, high-tech crime, intrigue and international men and women of adventure.
