It's time for Round #2 of Stock Charades 2013! We had a great time with Round #1, so let's throw another one into the ring.

For those of you who do not know how to play Stock Charades, it's easy; I try to recreate an instance from a visual pop culture reference. Could be a frame from a film, a panel from a comic book, a famous book cover, album art, you name it; and you try to guess the reference.

I obviously don't do sets, but I try to get the character's costume, attitude, and pose as close to the original as possible. In the interest of fair play I will note when there is an important difference between me and the original.

Round 2 Notes

Starting Point Value for Round 2: 9 points
(This one is not quite as tough as the last one, but I think this one is still pretty tough.)

Deadline for Round 2: 28 JUNE 13 ; 23:59 PST

Image 2.1 Difference: I have no idea what the character was eating in the original, but I'm pretty sure it was not mini powdered donuts.

Image 2.1 Difference: There is not that much ice in the glass in the original, I did that just to annoy my dear friend *magikstock . Also, the glass is a little different.

This cycle of Stock Charades will be a summer-long contest so there are a few new rules that apply throughout:

1) One (1) guess per person per round . This image is the first image in Round 1. Guesses must be made via Note to this dA account. If you make a guess in any public comment you will be disqualified from this round. Everyone has a chance to get points on each round.

2) There will be several hints given (no more than 1 per day) until this round closes. Each hint will reduce the point value of this round by 1; i.e. if you guess the reference after the 2nd hint you will get 7 points. Since you only get one guess per round, the strategy lies in balancing your confidence in your answer against the benefit of future hints.


The person with the most points when this Stock Charades Tournament ends will win a 3-month premium subscription to dA. Good luck.
