Description

Thought the movement might be useful to you guys you draw...um...moving things. Sorry about the blur, but I think it may still be useful for the fabric study.

===================

Hello Folks!

It's been a good long while since I've used this thing and I've been wanting to do a series with this coat for some time, so when the remarkably talented ~quickreaver contacted my agent through the usual back-channels (dead letter drop up two unlit flights at the end of a particularly narrow alley just off Jermyn St. [which is a handy location, since that's where I have my shirts made]); well, I just couldn't day no. ;-)

Check out her work - :iconquickreaver: - you'll be impressed.

Important Technique Disclaimer
This series is full of some of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen done with a katana (outside of the set of Highlander, that is). I know it. You know it. We all know it. So let's all just agree to make art and not worry about that part too much.

Coda to the Technique Disclaimer
Believe it or not, there are some people who think that DeviantART is an appropriate place to learn self-defence (and offence, I suppose ;-) ) techniques. They feel that the images displayed here should demonstrate textbook-perfect execution of sound martial principles.

I'm afraid I DO NOT subscribe to that view. The study of the martial arts, both eastern and western, is a beautiful and useful pursuit, but dA is not the place for that pursuit.

I do things here that one never would, should, or could do in real life; simply because that is what HERE is for. ;-)
